Pasay City, on Oct. 21; motorists advised to expect heavy traffic

Beginning Wednesday,
October 21, 2015, Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) will implement road
re-blocking and restoration along EDSA corner C. Jose St. in Malibay, Pasay
City, following the repair of a leaking 150mm-diameter pipeline.

From Oct. 21 to 22, three
of the five north-bound lanes along this portion of EDSA will be closed to
traffic from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., when there is less volume of vehicles on the
road. During daytime, this area will be made passable to vehicular traffic as
the diggings will be temporarily covered by steel plates.

However, beginning
midnight of October 23 (Friday midnight), two of these three lanes will be
closed to traffic for 24 hours for road restoration. By October 24 (Saturday
midnight), these first two lanes will be open to traffic while the third lane
(i.e., middle lane) is closed for road restoration for 24 hours.

By October 26 (Monday),
Maynilad will complete road restoration activities and all five lanes will be
open to traffic.

is closely coordinating with the
Department of Public Works and Highways
(DPWH), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and Philippine
National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) to
manage traffic flow along the project area.

To help ensure public
safety, work sites will be fully enclosed by board-up barricades, with
appropriate lighting and traffic/warning signs. Motorists and pedestrians
passing through the area are also reminded to strictly observe traffic rules
and road safety regulations.
